About the author

Joel Brown lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his mother. After withdrawing from a private University due to financial difficulties with just two credits away from being able to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Drama, Television and Film Performance; he dived into working and living doing what he loved most – writing, and registered to become a Christian ordained minister. He has designed and created the Akterpuz third-arm StomoArt that is handcrafted.

Which is an artsy-craftsy, severed Martian arm for holding movie refreshments and an actor’s script that is a mobile, handy, adjustable, convenient, multipurpose device that offers a third arm that extends an extra hand to movie-lovers.

He has studied Computer Information System: Digital Video, Photography, Practical Ministry Film Analysis, Positive Psychology, certified in Cinema a Therapy, curated a collection of movies on DVD, traveled to Beverly Hills, California in order to record a demo in a collaboration with a top-notch underground Hip-hop artist and producer—all while studying and experiencing more than 23 years’ worth of knowledge on music, dance, filmmaking and acting.

However, it wasn’t until after he went through a major life trauma that narrowed down his Jack-of-all-trades pursuit into a master-of-none calling, where is was led to a story that had been filmed in film school but shelved for 18-years, and stayed up at all hours of the night crafting it into a book, Brown wrote Picasso’s Little Secret: The Devil’s Paintbrush, a series of novels whose first installment is Painting Shadows.

The elaborate story continues with the much-anticipated Part Two: Painting Shadow Town, and even an expected Part Three, Four, and Five. In spite of that Brown strives to leave a legacy that will be known as a ‘MAN-ON-FIRE FOR WRITING AND MOVIES WHO’S AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART’ who God had another word for him: REDEEMED and a FATHER’S HEART when the world labeled him repulsively that set apart before all as a display of God’s gracious merciful power.

Thus, regardless of how insurmountable the situations he faces may look; he kept on doing what he loved, and they didn’t take away his passion but made his fight stronger as an artist.
